From Corporate Job to Civil Services: Wardah Khan, a resident of Noida, traded her corporate job for a shot at the civil services, and her determination has paid off with a remarkable 18th rank in the UPSC exam 2023.

Reflecting on her journey, Khan expressed astonishment at her achievement, never expecting to land in the top 20. Her family shares in her joy, bursting with pride at her accomplishment.

At 24, Khan sets her sights on the Indian Foreign Services (IFS) as her primary choice, aiming to elevate India’s image on the international stage and support the Indian diaspora worldwide.

Hailing from Vivek Vihar in Noida’s Sector 82, Khan completed her Bachelor’s in Commerce (Honours) from Khalsa College, Delhi University. Despite losing her father at a young age, she stands as the sole focus of her mother’s pride and support.

Khan’s passion for civil services blossomed during her college years, nurtured by her fascination with geopolitics, history, and politics. Engaging in debates and Mock United Nations (MUN) sessions fueled her interest, ultimately steering her towards this career path.
