In today’s world, getting scammed has become a common thing. But it’s hard to accept that such scams can happen even with a big personality and he lost almost 80 percent from his entire bank account. You heard that right, something similar has happened to Jamaican Olympic sprinting legend Usain Bolt.

Usain Bolt has lost millions of dollars in his account with Kingston-based investment firm Stocks & Securities Ltd. Lawyers for the track and field star have said $12 million has gone missing from his account with a Jamaican investment firm and they are prepared to take the matter to court if necessary. Now only 12 thousand dollars are left in the account.

“The account was part of Bolt’s retirement and life savings,” his attorney, Linton P. Gordon, told Fortune magazine by phone. “This is troubling news for anyone, and certainly in the case of Bolt, who set up this account as part of his personal pension,” Gordon said on Wednesday. We will take this matter to court. This is a serious disappointment, and we are hopeful that this matter will be resolved in such a way that Bolt will get his money back.”

Kingston-based Stocks & Securities Ltd (SSL ) said in a January 12 statement that it had become aware of fraudulent activity by a former employee and referred the matter to law enforcement. The Jamaican Constabulary Force said on Monday that its fraud and financial investigation teams are investigating “alleged fraudulent activities at (SSL) which is said to have siphoned off money from Usain Bolt’s account.”

This was Bolt’s lifetime income. He is one of his nation’s most prominent figures and has dominated the sprinting world for a decade. If Bolt in Jamaica experienced this, then none of the country’s citizens can feel secure about their finances. Throughout his career, Bolt has earned 8 Olympic gold medals. These medals highlight what Bolt has accomplished for his nation. Bolt announced his retirement from sprinting in 2017.
