The Managing Director of the famous dairy brand Amul, R.S. Sodhi resigned from his post on Monday. His resignation was accepted in the board meeting of the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF).
After his resignation, now GCMMF COO Jayan Mehta has been selected for this post.
Amul is a 76 year old company. This Amul brand is operated by the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) organization. This institution usually sells around 150 lakh liters of milk per day. In which milk is mainly sold in the markets of Gujarat, Delhi-NCR, West Bengal and Mumbai.
R.S. Sodhi started his career in Amul nearly 40 years ago as Senior Manager Sales. After which Sodhi was appointed as the MD of the company in 2010. He was on extension for the last four years.
Sodhi told news agency PTI that he has resigned from the post of Managing Director. He said ”I was on service extension. The board of directors has accepted my resignation”.
